The news late this Sunday is Peter Graves, the ruggedly handsome actor best known for his roles on Mission: Impossible and Airplane! has died in his home in Pacific Palisades, four days shy of his 84th birthday. Graves is the younger brother of actor James Arness of Gunsmoke fame.
The tabloids have warned us about the Brave Last Days of Barbara Billingsley starting two months ago, but did not have a source to tell us about her Airplane! co-star. As of this writing Ms. Billingsley is still with us.
