While there are seven different accounts of the Sandra Bullock-Jesse James unpleasantness this week, People is the most sympathetic and least intrusive. They include Jesse's double life on the cover, but they may the story mostly about Sandra, her sadness, how she found out and how it will change her relationship with her step kids.
This makes People magazine the kindest of the vultures. I am reminded of the lyrics from Road Movie To Berlin by They Might be Giants.
We were once so close to heaven, Peter came out and gave use medals
Declaring us the nicest of the damned.
