Behind the scenes at the Emmys

Publication: People
Date: 13 September 2010

I am of the opinion that the best stuff on TV is more interesting than about 99% of the movies released today, now that so much of the undeniably bigger budgets of films is spent on believable but uninteresting special effects. Still, there is no question that the Oscars still have a lot more pizazz than the Emmys. For example, do people even have Emmy parties? Do they fill out ballots to predict all the winners? I've never done either of those things, but I've attended many Oscar parties and filled out ballots for bragging rights. It's a tradition.

Case in point: After the Oscars, five supermarket rags had stories related to the ceremony. After the Emmys, only People did a story.

By the way, the ladies in the picture are Rose Byrne, Maria Menounos and Eva La Rue. The picture was nicked from the Fushion Magazine website.
