Dixie Carter, best known for her role on Designing Women, has died at the age of 70. There were no warnings in the tabloids of any health problems, and that is not surprising given her husband Hal Holbrook's requests for privacy. From all the evidence, Dixie had friends and confidants, not sources. Good for her and good on them.
