The Only Ten Magazines That Matter barely acknowledge that American False Idol exists, but they love Dancing With The Stars with all their hearts. This week, there are five stories about the show, most about Kendra Wilkinson and Kirstie Alley, but Wendy Williams also makes an appearance on the cover of Star, as well as passing reference to Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who the gossip rags think is famous enough to just be called Maks. The Gold Standard tells us that sparks are flying in a good way between Erin Andrews of ESPN and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, one of the professionals on Dancing With The Stars.

Like with anything on the cover of a supermarket rag, I don't know if it's true or not. Maksim is both a pro dancer and he designed the costumes Ms. Andrews is wearing on the show, which are two remarkably different talents for one person to have. I get the feeling this story is published to dispel rumors that he is a hairdresser.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
