And the camera noses in to the tears on her face:Rev. Schuller's family greed costs a woman her home.

Publication: National Enquirer
Date: 27 December 2010

This isn't the first time the Rev. Robert Schuller has had his name trashed in the gossip rags this year, but the first story was in the low rent Examiner and this one is in The Flagship itself. Previously, family squabbles were killing the old huckster, famous in the 1960's for his drive-in church but noted now for the gaudy Crystal Cathedral and his Hour of Power TV show. Somehow, his family's greed is costing some poor woman her home.

If you go to their website, the Enquirer says they pay big bucks for juicy gossip. Obviously, the kind of big bucks they are talking about aren't "avoid a foreclosure" big.

Fussin' and Feudin' Alert™:Family squabble killing Rev. Robert Schuller

Publication: National Examiner
Date: 23 August 2010

This story isn't exactly news, which is a common pattern with the Examiner, but at least there's a shred of truth. Trouble in the evangelical empire of Rev. Robert Schuller of Crystal Cathedral fame has been going on for some time, with his son being removed as pastor a few years back for lack of a shared vision. But the low rent Examiner says the troubles are killing the founder, who in fact has announced his retirement. He has been broadcasting since 1970 so he qualifies for Hey Old Timer Gossip, and the magic word "killing" means it's also a Meanest Story nominee this week and a Not Long 4 This World Alert.
