On the Rocks update:Tipper Gore's tell-all book could send Al to jail

Fun fact to know and tell. The United States has more prisoners per capita than any other country in the world at 715 per 100,000. The #2 country is Russia at 584 per 100,000. Most "civilized" countries are closer to 100 per 100,000. If you want to see the list, it's over at nationmaster.com.

I bring this up because if the National Enquirer had their way, our per capita prison population would be at least 50% higher, maybe twice as high. They lo-o-o-o-o-ve sending people to jail. According to The Flagship, the latest person to be fitted for an orange jumpsuit is Al Gore, if the proper authorities read his wife's tell-all shocker and act accordingly.

If you want to know about their record for accuracy on this account, they were sure Rush Limbaugh was heading to the slammer when they busted him on his drug habit in 2003, and that didn't even make it to trial. More recently, the Enquirer said a grand jury was ready to indict John Edwards and Fox News picked up the story and ran with it. That was early March, about eighteen weeks ago. Either the story was just bullshit or this is a real-l-l-ly slow grand jury.
