There are several stories in the nastier tabloids this week about Al and Tipper Gore. Both the Enquirer and the Star say it was about infidelity.

Enquirer: Al and Tipper: The cheerleader that tore them apart

For tabloid scandal, "cheerleader" trumps even "tattooed stripper". Only, "Catholic school girl" would make the story even more tawdry.

Let the record show that the Star and Enquirer have published similar stories on their covers before. Both said Marie Osmond was suicidal and Kelly Preston is expecting twins. These stories have been denied.
